I have lots of photographs and writing to edit from my trip to Alaska, but I'm currently suffering from a deluge of work and catching up with friends both locally and abroad.
For now let me say that it is nice to have your parents in town to stock you up -- like you were in college again -- and to be able to appreciate having more than the bare minimum of material goods, like some transient. I've recently finally adjusted to the "settle down" mode, which means looking into real estate and being able to have more than one roll of toilet paper in the closet.
It's also nice to get new tools, like a wok and ceramic knives. Slicey-slice!
