Gabe has a point:There is just no good reason to play with humans. I tried it last night with Tycho and it was alright but I think we spent more time trying to find a server with a decent ping than we did playing. Then during the game I had to put up with people telling me I "suck penis good."
The following is a paraphrased transcript from a recent SC:PT session. Other guy's name is not removed for his privacy, but because it was some ultimately forgettable collection of letters and numbers.
me: ok, so where are you going?
other guy: man, i dunno
...
other guy: what are you, 35?
other guy: hey how old are you?
me: uh..25?
me: how old are you, 27?
other guy: nah man, i'm 15
me: really?
...
other guy: crank user...hey, you use crank?
other guy: i got some friends that do crank
me: uhh....
me: no, it has to do with my background in usability
me: where we make stuff better
me: and the user is mostly cranky
other guy: ah

Thankfully he left the game after he using up all his lives, and before the round was over.
April 8, 2004 02:23 AMLast night I finally got a headset so that I can actually talk to my teammates in SC:PT. I finally find a game where the people are actually talking to me. They're both level 6, I'm level 1.
First thing they say: "What the fuck, level 1? Yoyoson, why don't you suck my cock."
I guess this first dialogue indicates the median of what I can expect with Live.
